The Pastega Christmas Light Display

History

From 1981, Mario Pastega had Ole create christmas scenes and the place them in the field surrounding the PepsiCola Bottling plant.  Scenes and characters were added each year and community members contributed their displays. When Mario passed away in 20 and the firm was sold, it was evident to the Pastegas that they wanted to continue the Christmas display.  Community outreach had individuals or families adopt the weather beaten pieces and return them refurbished to the new home of the display to Benton County fairgrounds on 53rd St.

Since the beginning Pastega Christmas display continues to survive and thrive with the help of many volunteers and businesses in our community who have given of their time and talents as well as donations of money and/or materials.

Although our display is FREE and non-commercial, we are encouraging canned food donations for the needy in our local communities.
